The Lafayette Art Association and Gallery will usher in 2017 with its 31th annual photographic competition and exhibit. This regional competition will be in place from Feb. 7 – March 24.
This competition is open to all photographers of any age. Submit dates are Tuesday-Friday, January 10-25, 2017 from noon-5:00 pm or by appointment. Entries can be brought to the Lafayette Art Association and Gallery.
The Freeze Frame competition includes jurying, judging, an opening reception, and award ribbons. Non-LAA members pay $5 per entry or $10 for three (3) entries. No fee is charged to LAA members. Each artist may enter a maximum of 3 individual photo entries in 2 or 3 dimensional formats. Three-dimensional entries need not be framed if they are free standing. All wall hanging artwork must include a wire on the backside and do not have to be framed if they are wrapped canvas.
Judging categories include: Wildlife/Nature, Black and White, Color, Architectural, Portrait, Landscape, and Manipulated/Enhanced/Creative.
