Since it was first launched 18 years ago, the annual Women Who Mean Business Awards luncheon has become a day of celebration and inspiration. Over 150 local women of distinction—including you—have received the award since 1999, representing a broad range of professions: law, medicine, education, hospitality, media, insurance, banking, non-profits, public service, oil and gas, and more. You have all been recognized for your entrepreneurship, professionalism, civic engagement, and community leadership.
Since 2004, we’ve also recognized eighteen Trailblazers—women, some retired or semi-retired, who paved the way for future generations of professional women and deserve a tribute for the contributions they made for the rest of us.
We’re now accepting nominations for 2017 and invite you to participate. We’ll also be reaching out to ABiz readers and others in the community for suggestions. Please send as much information as you can about the person you’d like to submit—name, contact info, business, any bio or background info you might have—to Jenna King via email (if possible) at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you prefer to use regular mail, our new street address is 123 E Main Street, Lafayette, 70501. Jenna can also be reached by phone at 337-769-8602.
Mark your calendars now for Thursday, September 28, at 11:30 a.m. at The River Oaks Event Center. if you’d like to advertise in the 2017 WWMB issue of ABiz, contact Drue Kennerson via email at email@example.com or by phone at 337.769.8618.
